The intensive program uses various strategies to improve Veterans' health, substance abuse, medical, and psychiatric issues. It emphasizes relapse prevention skills training. The program strongly encourages and provides for participation in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

The goal is to prepare Veterans for a lifetime of continuing recovery.

Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program

Programming and beds are located between Units 8A, 39A and 39B. Through this residential and rehabilitation program, health care professionals guide homeless Veterans in addiction recovery, relationship and conflict management skills, social skills, anger and emotional management, medical stability, medication management, and more.

The goal is for Veterans to transition from residential care to outpatient care with an end result being independent community living.
